About Us

The brewery was founded on a passion for real ale and an ambition to provide the town with top quality locally brewed beer!

We decided to name our brewery after the most historic building in the town, the Chantry chapel and bridge dating back to 1483. Iconic to the area, everyone can easily identify with the bridge and chapel which crosses the River Don and is considered one of the most unique.
